On Friday 2 June, 150 people attended the 1st Cherrybrook Scout Group ARP celebration and BBQ feast. The event was a celebration of the previous year, showing that 1st Cherrybrook scouting experiences are fast-paced and action-packed with plenty of opportunities for kids to get dirty, use their heads, and use their hands.
1st Cherrybrook Scout Group also celebrated having grown to become the equal largest Scout Group in NSW with the largest Cub Section and second-largest Scout Section in the state.
Also presented were four Joey Promise Badges and a Queens Scout Award (well done, Claudia!)
The event also raised $600 in support of the Chief Commissioner’s annual ‘CEO Sleepout’.
A big 'thank you' to all our State, Region and District guests, and to Cr Steve Russell Mayor, Hornsby Shire Council and Damien Tudehope MP, Member for Epping. Thank you as well to all the Leaders and Committee members who worked together to put on an awesome and fun evening amongst friends with tasty hamburgers and sausage sandwiches, refreshments, delicious cake, tea and coffee ... and so much more!
